Interior Design Ideas From The Rancic’s Los Angeles Home

07 Aug Interior Design Ideas From The Rancic’s Los Angeles Home

Having a family changes everything – including the way you design your home. Bill and Giuliana Rancic’s Los Angeles Home is a prime example of what happens to the interior design of a residence once you realize that a child will call that place home. The Rancic family aimed to create a welcoming environment for a child by focusing on filling their home, nestled in the suburb neighbourhood of Brentwood in Los Angeles, with French country décor accompanied by a calm and serene palette colour scheme.

The colour white has a strong presence in every room throughout the home – not just because it lends itself well to the overall French country-feel of the home but because it complements the classical and elegant furniture choices and the bohemian décor items scattered throughout. A great example of this colour scheme at work can be seen in the Rancic’s master bedroom, boasting a white wooden-paneled ceiling and white doors and outlines (in keeping with the French theme) balanced perfectly by fern blue walls and timber floors. The solid block of colours throughout the room are broken up by intricate designs in throw pillows and rugs.

Guiliana’s décor intentions were the same when it came to her son’s room. In an interview with Traditional Home, Rancic spoke about the importance of the family experience in the homes, saying, “Regardless of the proportions or budget, it’s important that this room embrace the entire family, with a place to hold the baby and read.” That’s why her son’s room has a playful nautical theme, while still incorporating the same simplistic design with the soft palette colours seen throughout the house.

The rest of the rooms carry the white and crème colour scheme to go along with the antique design of the furniture. In the dining room, the chairs, rug, walls and chandelier all are a variation of a crème colour. In contrast to the dark wooden-coloured table and cabinet, the white ceiling and door frames break up the flurry of crème.

The Rancic’s Los Angeles home – Warm and welcoming

Every room is designed to create a perfect backdrop for Rancic family memories. The warm, welcoming nature of their Brentwood home is a prime example of how classical bohemian features mixed with modern touches can create the perfect family home.
